Event Objective

Through ‘Speed is of the Essence’, Hong Kong Automobile Association is going to gather a group to create a power. From Car/Motorcycle owners
together with the Hong Kong public to raise donation for the victims of the recent Tsunami.

A total of 500 Vehicles will create a force of power; driving a designated route of round trip from Chater Road around Hong Kong Island on the day. In order to raise donation for the victims involved. Our grand total of $1 million dollars plus will be raised from this event.

Entry Requirement
Expected minimum donation for each participating car/motorcycle will be HK$1000.

Event Details
Date : Sunday, 16 January 2005

BMWOCHK Gathering Time: 730am
BMWOCHK Gathering Venue: Wan Chai, Convention & Exhibition Center New Wing


Time : 8:00am – 12:30pm (Entry time for each group of cars/motorcycles will be informed later)

Starting / Finishing Point : Charter Road Pedestrian Zone, Central Awards

Certificates will be presented to Participating
- Cars/Motorcycles
- Present the following awards to
- Highest Fundraising Individual Car
- Highest Fundraising Individual Motorcycle
- The Most Participating Association

Enrollment Method
Kindly complete and fax back both the enrollment form and sponsorship form to HKAA before 12 January 2005, the original deposit slip(s) with the enrollment form and sponsorship form must be delivered to us on or before 21 Jan 2005.

Due to limited spaces available, we will process the application on a first come first served basis.

Payment of the donation should go directly to BMWOCHK, BMWOCHK will pay HKAA and then to SCMP Charities.

SCMP Charities will then double up each dollar to UNICEF. That's each dollar we raised, SCMP Charities will donate the same amount to UNICEF.

Everyone,

The drive is this coming sunday. HKAA informed us that there will be NO min. donation for Club members however, all donation should go through the Club as a whole to HKAA.

All donation will be listed here in the website and an official donation receipt will be put up here as soon as we received it from UNICEF.

In the mean time, please kindly confirm with us your particpation by sending either to BMWOCHK (Fax: 25255102) of HKAA (Fax: - 27218940)

Deadline is wednesday 12pm

I actually already donated to the tsunami relief separately from this, but of course every little bit helps :D

Benny,

I've spoke with HKAA over this. I'm sure most of us have donated somewhere else for the same purpose and imposing a min. donation is a bit non-sense.

HKAA have accepted and there is NO Min donation on this. Even $10 can join this parade !

It's the support that counts.
